At Humnspace, we build software designed around human privacy. Rook runs 100% offline on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your passwords, browsing history, hotkeys, or personal files. Zero analytics, zero tracking telemetry.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Unlike cloud software, Rook is designed from the ground up as a private local Windows application:

No User Accounts or Passwords: Rook is 100% free with no login or registration required.
No In-App Telemetry: We do not log your keyboard shortcuts, workspace configurations, or application usage.
No Local File Mining: Your hotkeys, macros, and configuration settings remain on your local storage.

2. Anonymous Download Telemetry & Geolocation

To measure global software distribution without requiring user registration or account creation:

When you initiate a free download of RookSetup.exe, our download endpoints record non-personal aggregate download metrics (download timestamp, country code, region/state, and city derived automatically from connection headers).
IP addresses are hashed anonymously using a cryptographic salt and are never stored as raw PII.

3. Local Storage

Rook stores user-configured action chains, hotkeys, and system presets locally on your computer in your local Windows application data directory. This data never leaves your device.

4. Security

We prioritize security by avoiding remote telemetry endpoints altogether. Because your data remains on your local PC, your information cannot be intercepted, leaked, or compromised by remote servers.
